Meeting in Lixouri port on Wednesday September 20th , at 7:45 AM, embarkation onthe ferry to Argostoli and departure with the bus for SE Cephalonia (Skala, Poros).

Visiting the uplifted coastline during the 1953 earthquakes. Discussion on the geological, seismological and geodetic data and the implications for the seismic behavior of the faults.

Visiting the earthquake ruins of the 1953 earthquakes and the famous Drogarati cave, lunch break.

Viewpoint to the spectacular Myrtos beach and landslides.

Departure for selected localities of Paliki Peninsula. Visit the 2014 earthquake ruins at Livadi beach, the Atheras broadband seismological and GNSS stations, the Kouloumaki quarry site and the active fault. Discussion on the characteristics of the fault scarps including morphological evidence for long-term evolution.
